Export Council of Alaska Now Accepting Nominations for 2026 Exporter of the Year Awards

The Export Council of Alaska is now accepting nominations for the Annual Alaska Exporter of the Year Awards, which will be presented during the upcoming Alaskan Export Leadership Luncheon on September 9 at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage.
Nominations are due Friday, July 31, 2026.
These awards celebrate Alaskan companies and service providers that are helping grow Alaska’s economy through international trade. Companies may be nominated in more than one category, and self-nominations are encouraged.
Why It Matters
Alaska’s exports help drive economic prosperity while showcasing the state’s diverse industries, expertise, and innovative spirit on the international stage. Recognizing and celebrating leading exporters not only acknowledges their achievements, but also inspires others to pursue opportunities in the global marketplace.
Award Categories
Exporter of the Year
Awarded to an Alaskan company that has grown its exports and made exporting a cornerstone of its business.
Service Exporter of the Year
Awarded to an Alaskan company that is successfully exporting services. Examples include architectural, engineering, legal, financial, construction, accounting, consulting, education, and travel or tourism services sold to international customers.
New Exporter of the Year
Awarded to an Alaskan company that has begun exporting products or services within the last two years.
Export Service Provider
Awarded to businesses that support exporters, including freight forwarders, export brokers, export consultants, and export attorneys.
How to Submit a Nomination
To submit a nomination, email the required nomination information to:
Once received, your nomination will be considered complete. All applications will be reviewed by the Export Council of Alaska committee, and award selections will be communicated prior to the event.

Please include the following information in your nomination email:
Nominator’s name
Nominator’s company, if different from the nominated company
Nominator’s email
Nominator’s relationship to the nominee
Nominee company name
Nominee contact name
Nominee contact title
Nominee company address
Nominee contact business phone
Nominee contact email
Nominee company website
Brief description of the nominee company and its export-related products or services, maximum 300 words
Percentage of total sales that are export-related
Number of employees
Number of foreign countries the company has sold to: 1 to 4, 5 to 10, 11 to 29, or 30 plus
Deadline
All nominations must be submitted by Friday, July 31, 2026.
