Welcome to the Alaska Manufacturing Association (“AKMA,” “we,” “our,” “us”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, events, membership services, resources, and community platforms (including Slack). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms as a legally binding agreement. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
1. Website Owner & Offerings
This website is owned and operated by Alaska Manufacturing Association (AKMA).
Through our site, we offer:

Resources, training, and digital products (including guides and workbooks).

By engaging with our website, purchasing services, or joining our community, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
By using our website or joining AKMA, you confirm that you:

Represent yourself or your business accurately when creating accounts, memberships, or event registrations.

3. Memberships, Purchases & Payment

Membership dues, event tickets, digital products, and consulting services are billed as listed on our website or invoices.

All prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

Payment is required at checkout or according to the terms stated on your invoice.

Taxes, fees, or transaction costs may apply.
For memberships:

Memberships are valid for the term stated at purchase.

Renewals will be offered prior to expiration, and pricing may change at AKMA’s discretion.

Membership benefits (such as access to Slack or discounts) are only active while dues are current.
4. Returns & Refunds

Digital products (e.g., workbooks, templates, resources) are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

Event tickets are transferable but not refundable unless an event is canceled by AKMA.

Membership dues are non-refundable. If you cancel before the end of your membership term, no prorated refunds will be issued.

Consulting services follow the refund or cancellation policy outlined in the service agreement signed at the start of work.
5. Changes to Our Offerings
We may, without notice, modify or discontinue:

Membership benefits or features.

Events, services, or digital products.

Slack or other community tools.
We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for any reason, including misuse or violation of these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on AKMA’s website and platforms—including but not limited to text, logos, designs, resources, guides, images, and graphics—is the property of AKMA or its licensors.
You may not:

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute AKMA content without written permission.

Use our branding, logos, or marks without prior consent.
7. User-Generated Content (Slack & Community)
When you participate in Slack or other AKMA community spaces:

Your profile and activity may be visible to other members.

You agree to post only content you have rights to share.

You grant AKMA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and share your content within our community spaces.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates community guidelines, is inappropriate, or poses risk to other members.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or membership if you:

Violate these Terms or our Slack/community guidelines.

Misuse AKMA resources or platforms.

Engage in harassment, abuse, or harmful activity within AKMA spaces.
You may request cancellation of your account or membership at any time.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold AKMA, its officers, staff, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) resulting from your use of our website, services, or community platforms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AKMA is not liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities.

Errors, interruptions, or unauthorized access to our platforms.

Outcomes of business connections or transactions facilitated through AKMA.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wasilla, Alaska.
