Alaska Food Policy Council
PO BOX 173 Homer, Alaska
Overview
The Alaska Food Policy Council brings together people from all corners of the state—farmers, fishers, policymakers, educators, Tribal leaders, and more—to build a healthier, more secure, and resilient food system for all Alaskans.
Through advocacy, connection, and information-sharing, AFPC works to improve how food is grown, accessed, and valued across the state. Whether you grow food, make policy, run a program, or simply care about what’s on your plate, AFPC is open to you.
Their vision? A food system that truly feeds Alaska—now and for generations to come.
What they do:
– Create space for collaboration across Alaska’s food sectors
– Advocate for food policy at local, state, Tribal, and federal levels
– Share resources, data, and opportunities with communities statewide
